Tweite’s Family Farm, your tie to rural America.

Over the years, a trip to Tweite’s Family Farm has become a tradition for many families. As we head into our 31st year of operation, we are proud to welcome a third generation of parents who remember visiting Tweite’s Pumpkin Patch when they were children. Every person who visits Tweite’s Family Farm has a favorite story and special memories. It’s hard to believe all these cherished memories and fall fun grew from a small family business with a purpose to enrich the lives of all children and their families by providing wholesome family fun for the young and the young at heart.

Tom Tweite is the 5th generation to live on the farm. 2010 was noted with a centennial plaque from the State of Minnesota marking 100 years of continuous family ownership, Tweite’s actually started selling farm produce in 1984, but it wasn’t until 1988 that the first building was remodeled That was also the first year of the first fall festival. Tom planted and harvested the produce, then delivered it to Colleen his wife, who took care of the newly remolded retail store. Colleen was thrilled to have the opportunity to help provide for the family needs while still being a stay at home mom.

Every member of the Tweite family contributed to the growth of the young business, providing both special skills and reasonable labor. Tom’s parents Robert and Jeanette were very supportive and helpful during the last 31 years. Tom and Colleen have 4 daughters Nichole, Danielle, Molly, and Maggie. Many of the early customers came to know the Tweite girls as well, as they were often in the store with their mother, Colleen. As time went on and the girls grew into their own special talents, through those talents and all their extra efforts, helping while growing up in a family business they all contributed help what Tweite’s Family Farm is today.

The family business may have out grown its meager labor force, but traces of the family commitment still linger, through our great family of employees. Every year we look forward to the fall when guests visit Tweite’s Family Farm to experience a spectacular Fall Festival. People love the caramel apples, fresh fudge and the great activities. But it’s the memories and traditions that keep them coming back. We take great pride in our role as a wholesome family entertainment destination. It is our hope to give each family some M and M’s (Magical Moments)
